It offers an introduction to the mathematical basis behind microwave measurements as well as an overview of some of the practical components that are frequently used in microwave instruments. About the Author

Ananjan Basu completed his BTech in Electrical engineering and MTech in Communication and Radar Engineering from IIT Delhi in 1991 and 1993, respectively, and his PhD in electrical engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1998. He has been employed at the Centre for Applied Research in Electronics, IIT Delhi as visiting faculty from 1999 to 2000, as assistant professor from 2000 to 2005, as associate professor from 2005 to 2012, and as professor from 2013. His specialization is in microwave and millimeter-wave component design and characterization. He has published more than 80 papers in journals and conferences.

Great way to fill in the gaps!

I just happened upon this book by accident, and I am thrilled that I did. When the season ended in May 2005, the Montecito had been imploded and all the characters were scattered everywhere. When the new season began, it was as if it were "real time" and six months had passed in the characters' lives as well. A lot of issues weren't really touched upon in the TV show, especially with Nessa in England. This book does a marvelous job at picking up right where the TV show left off and creates a satisfying timeline for the characters, right up to when the season began again in Fall 2005.
And I would like to say "thank you" to the Las Vegas TV show producers, who incorporated a bit of this book into the season finale in May 2006 with Ed Deline casually mentioning Nessa's "disappearance". Read the book to find out more!

This book was absolutely fantastic! If you are a fan of this show and follow the storyline, then reading this book is like watching the show. While reading this book it answered many questions that the show did not discuss and throughout the book I could see visuals as if I was watching the show. I also like how the writer made sure the characters were truly them meaning he would speak like them, and do things they would do. A must have book!

First published in 1937, Turabian's manual has been updated to reflect the fifteenth edition of The Chicago Manual of Style (2003) as well as the habits and needs of today's students. The chapter on source citation now includes sections on online databases, e-books, and "informally published electonic sources." A new and lengthy part 1, "Researching and Writing: From Planning to Production," cautions researchers to "beware of Wikipedia" and "never cite it as an authoritative source." Gregory G. Colomb (1951–2011) was professor of English at the University of Virginia and the author of Designs on Truth: The Poetics of the Augustan Mock-Epic. He is coauthor, with Wayne C. Booth and Joseph M. Williams, of the best-selling guide The Craft of Research, published by the University of Chicago Press.

8th edition is legit!!

I upgraded to the 8th edition after my 7th edition was completely worn out- too much use. The 8th is more concise and easy to use as well as includes more citation information for electronic sources, etc.

you'd best get the book

This falls into the category of "if you must you must." I've written many papers in APA, and if you have as well, Turabian format will have very strange differences that make no sense what-so-ever. Still, if you must use Turabian, you'd best get the book. I found APA easy to figure out to the point that I never cracked the book, so I figured Turabian would be the same way. I was wrong and have been dinged a lot for it. Do not let yourself believe you do not need this book because APA was easy. Turabian is not easy. It is confusing. And the websites on it are not helpful. Buy the book.

I don't feel like it provided me with any useful tips about how ...

I bought this book because I was supposed to use it for a class. At the same time, I don't feel like it provided me with any useful tips about how to be a better writer. The problem I had with the book is that it was too impersonal. It would have been better to have a more informal book that would tell you more directly the kinds of things you can do to improve thesis writing The book also contains ridiculous numbers of examples for how to cite sources. At the end of the day, I couldn't even easily figure out how to cite anything.
